A later start for SMC today with our first race not until 11:45am, so we took our time heading to the lake.
Sophia was first up for us with the u16 coxed four and they were a rank outsider qualifying in the 7th fastest time. That said, the girls had an amazing race and absolutely smashed it to come in a very close third at 7:23:10.
Next up was Greer in the u15 coxed 8. It was always going to be a tough race but they got their best time of the season at 7:09:26 and in 6th place.
To cap off the day, the SMC top 8 won the Levin Cup in the u18 coxed 8 – another amazing race and they led right from the start. So good for the entire team.
We finished the day with pizza and Mr Whippy back at the girls motel with the girls, parents and coaches.
A very successful Maadi Cup for our girls and we could not be more proud and also for the entire SMC team …. Go SMC!!!!
