After a lazy morning and getting some chores done around the villa we decided to head to the local beach, Punta Penna Grossa, part of the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve.
TJ didn’t want to come so we left him at the villa and the rest of us headed off. It was only a very short drive to the car park but then an approx 20 minute walk to the actual beach, but it was worth it.
The beach was beautifully sandy and clean and the water crystal clear. There were already quite a few people there when we arrived, but still plenty of room to have our own space. We set up and spent the next few hours swimming and sunbathing.

Later we went back to the villa and spent the rest of the day chilling out. I cooked us the orecchiette pasta we had bought in Bari for dinner with a salad and gelato for dessert.
