Day 41 – TJ’s Bday, Star Wars, Blizzard Beach & Topgolf

Today was TJ’s birthday, and for the first time since we left this part of the world he was celebrating it in the correct time zone – it is hard to believe he is 15. He opened his presents and once everyone was ready we headed to Hollywood Studios.

Mark took TJ to get his birthday badge and then they queued for Star Wars Rise of the Resistance while the girls and I used our lightning lane to ride Tower of Terror and then stood in the queue for another 55 mins to ride it again.

We met the boys outside Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars Galaxy Edge and when our table was ready we were shown in. Mark wasn’t impressed we were given a side of a leaner with another group given how long ago he booked. I felt like I was having lunch with the group next to me. Anyway, we got our drinks and some snacks and then Greer and I rode Rock ‘n Roller Coaster before we left the park and headed to Blizzard Beach, a Disney water park.

We found seats and I lay in the sun (partial sun is probably more accurate but it was definitely nice and warm) while Mark and the kids went on the various water slides. They came back briefly before ordering their lunch and heading off to eat it.

After lunch, I went with TJ and Greer to watch them ride Slush Gusher, a 90 foot, high speed slide with 2 rolling hills. They both rode it a couple of times but after the second time Greer said her back was really sore, and it was definitely red. They then went to ride another couple of smaller slides before we headed home.

A quick shower for everyone and a call into Mum & Dad before heading out to Topgolf. We spent a couple of hours playing games at Topgolf and having dinner before coming home for TJ to have his birthday cupcake.
