We had another slow start to the day getting to Animal Kingdom in time for our lightning lane ride on Expedition Everest. It was freezing cold today with a projected high of 11°C. Getting from the car to the park in the tram with the wind chill was cold ?.
We rode the ride and then got a refill of Greer’s popcorn bucket before heading to Disney Springs (check out the cupcake ATM) to pick up a few things.

Back home for lunch and everyone had a quiet afternoon, sleeping, on iPads, catching up on this blog, baking and washing.

We headed back to Animal Kingdom, arriving just after 5pm and managed to get a park right up close in the preferred parking. We went straight to Avatar – Flight of Passage ride and into the queue. TJ didn’t want to ride so he just waited in the shop for us. There was a bit of a wait despite having lightning lane passes.

We went straight to Expedition Everest and rode that again as the wait was fairly short. The girls and I then rode it again – this time we got stuck for a wee while half way down (we had the previous time but not for too long) … they made a couple of announcements saying we had made an unexpected stop but should be going soon … we were starting to wonder if we may need to be rescued when it started up again. Deciding not to tempt fate again, we headed out of the park.

We headed to Chic-Fil-A for dinner where Mark gave us a bit of a run down on their operations, in particular, their corporate culture – in case you are interested too ? the information is in this link:

A quick stop at Coldstone Creamery for an ice-cream and home for the boys to watch the football (NFL).
