Day 32 – Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Splitsville

Another 7am alarm to book our lightning lane, this time for Tower of Terror – we got a return time of 9:45am so decided to take a leisurely morning and get to the park in time for that. The kids played some air hockey in the games room at the house and I got some washing done.

We arrived at the park and got to the ride for our scheduled arrival window. TJ decided he still didn’t want to ride it so Mark stayed with him and I went with the girls. There are different sequences for the ride and we managed to get a different one than last time and this one was even better. It is such a good ride – I could do it over and over again if it was easier to get on.

Ride done, we found Mark in the coffee line just about to order … perfect timing! Sophia and Greer did the ride again using Mark and TJ’s magic bands as they hadn’t used their lightning lane passes.

Mark managed to buy us another ride on Cosmic Rewind at Epcot for later in the day and as we have park hopper we were able to do that after 2pm. We also booked our next lightning lane for Rock n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith for 11:45am.

Greer really wanted to go to the Beauty and Beast show which was just around the corner with the next show at 11am so we went and took a seat and relaxed for 30 mins or so until the show started.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the show although some would probably not admit it. ?

By the time that was over it was time for Rock n Rollercoaster – this time we got to see more of the pre show entertainment. It is definitely a neck jerking ride but always fun.

There were no more decent lightning lanes to book so we ordered some lunch for pick up and wandered the park checking things out. The kids were tired and grumpy complaining it was too hot … personally I thought it was quite pleasant. We made it to the Star Wars Launch Bay where you get to meet some of the characters – Darth Vader only had a 15 min queue so we waited to meet him.

Back to Toy Story Land for our lunch at Woody’s Lunch Box. We had done a mobile order and got the message it was ready but when Mark went to get it they were busy trying to serve people whose orders weren’t yet ready and everyone was complaining and laughing about our stupid the system is. Mark was told he wouldn’t get his lunch ?. We eventually got it and enjoyed the grilled sandwiches. When we left there was almost a fight for our table – an older rather large American woman just barged over and sat on a seat despite another family being there and waiting politely for us to leave – the other lady said she didn’t want a fight but even so the American yelled at her husband to sit down … I missed the “sights” at Walmart last night but was certainly seeing some good stuff today ?

Home to pick up some warmer clothes for later, have a wee rest and the kids continued their air hockey game before returning to Epcot to ride Cosmic Rewind. It just gets better each time.

Onto Disney Springs for ice-cream and some chill time before our booking at Splitsville, a bowling alley. You hire a lane for 1.5 hours and play as much or little as you like during that time. They also have a full restaurant menu and serve you at your lane. We managed to get almost 2 games in before they cut us off but they agreed to extend it so we could finish the last round. It was a fun evening that everyone enjoyed.
