We had a lazy start to the day watching the World Cup Football final (until the end of regular play) before heading down to Union Station to Pret (an old favorite from London days) for lunch. It was super expensive though – cost us US$80 for a sandwich and drink for everyone. But it was good! ?

We walked via the Supreme Court to the Natural History Museum. The museum is huge – so much to see, you could spend days in just that museum so we prioritized what we wanted to see and spent a good few hours checking out various exhibits.

We headed home via Walgreens for some food supplies and UNIQLO for a few clothing essentials we had run out of, and had a rest for an hour or so before heading back to Union Station to catch the Metro to FedEx Stadium for the Washington Commanders v New York Giants NFL game. It was freezing cold ???.
There were loads of people there, which was a bit overwhelming for the girls in particular. People outside having tailgate parties, personally I can’t see the appeal of standing outside any longer than you have to in that weather!

We got something to eat before finding out seats in the freezing cold. There was the usual National Anthem and then the game began. The Commanders scored first and were up at the end of the first quarter.

We headed back inside at the end of the quarter to collect our free seat prize (we had 2 winning seats) … some exciting Commanders plastic sunglasses! We each got a hot chocolate to warm up and then Mark tools TJ and Sophia back out and I stayed inside with Greer and watched on the big screens.

At half time everyone decided they’d had enough so we headed back
