This morning I had a surprise in store for the girls. We headed to the subway and took the train to Brooklyn and to a little shop called Brooklyn Owl. They underwent a Unicorn Transformation Process where they tried on horns, had to find secret phrases on the store walls and then had to repeat it in front of a magic mirror. The lights then flashed and a voice boomed that they were now unicorns.

I then took my unicorns to the local target where we checked out the enormous array of Halloween supplies – I was in complete heaven!

We headed back to Manhattan and did some shopping around the West Village until Sophia spotted the Magnum store where you design your own magnum ice-cream. It was then time for a wee bit of chocolate at Max Brenner’s (hmmm seems to be a lot of food involved there!).

The Boys returned from their trip to New Orleans and came to find us (their day was pretty much filled with taxis, airports and airplanes).

We headed to Little Italy for dinner where the kids practiced eating spaghetti and Mark made friends with our waiter, Antonio.
