This morning we headed back down to the Financial District as we had tickets for the 9/11 Memorial Museum. I think most people can vividly remember what they were doing that day … we were both working in London for US entities and it was an extremely emotional and scary time. Seeing the museum and reliving it was a very moving experience, albeit difficult with 3 kids who didn’t really understand it. Would have been nice to have a bit more time without the kids, but that will have to wait for another time!

Later we took the subway down to Brooklyn, got a bite to eat beside the river and wandered through Brooklyn Bridge Park. We found a few playgrounds for the kids to enjoy, followed by ice-cream under the Brooklyn Bridge.

In the evening, we went to the musical, Stomp. The kids (and us!) all thoroughly enjoyed it.
