This morning we were booked to take a tour of the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park. We got shown around a lot of the park including the green monster.

After the tour, we did a spot of shopping at the Red Sox Shop and then Mark & TJ went to a game and the girls and I went back into town.
The Baseball
After leaving us, the boys headed to the Wheels Club which they got access to as part of their dugout seat ticket package. They enjoyed a meal and then went to watch the Red Sox v Tampa Bay Rays.

Mark had earlier signed TJ up to the Red Sox Kid Nation Programme and as a result when he went there he got given a bag, plastic bat and ball and some other bits and pieces.

Mark had spent many hours researching the best seats for them to get and they ended up getting front row seats along the third base to home boundary. Mark then did lots of work chatting up the ball girl so that when a foul ball was actually hit in their direction, the ball girl gave the ball to TJ. Normally you would expect there to be a number of foul balls in that direction but this particular day, the ball TJ got was the only one given out. Not only that, but it was hit by his favourite player, Mookie Betts.

Girl Time
The girls and I caught the “T” (their metro) back into town and went in search of some lunch.

After lunch, we had arranged to meet my dear friend, Sharim at a cupcake store “Georgetown Cupcakes” in Newbury Street. I used to work with Sharim many years ago at Weil, Gotshal in London. It was so lovely to catch up with her and spend some time together. After cupcakes, we wandered around some of the older parts of Boston including the famous Acorn Street to Boston Common and the girls played on the playground whilst Sharim and I caught up.

Later we went and got our nails done and met up with the boys for dinner.
