Kiwi Family Adventures

With much excitement and anticipation we headed to Disneyland Park today.

It was another very hot day so we relented and bought the spray fan early on.  The rides are definitely tamer at Disneyland and Space Mountain was closed to prepare for Halloween so we couldn’t go on that.  We went to the Finding Nemo Subs first, although this was not well received by the kids.

After that, it was Splash Mountain to cool off and that we did!  The favourite was probably Big Thunder Railroad, a rollercoaster but no upside downs.  Miss Sophia and Miss Greer had some photo’s with Eeyore and Rabbit and Miss Greer with Tigger and Pooh also.

Mark, Master TJ and Miss Sophia had a wander around the Star Wars Props Display while Miss Greer and I went to the carousel and checked out the princess shops.

We met up for the Star Tours ride which was incredibly jerky and not particularly well liked and resulted in Mark having to buy Master TJ something from the Star Wars shop (he lost the bet that TJ would like it).

After lunch and a bit more shopping Mark went back to the hotel with the two older ones to pick something up and Miss Greer and I went to the Tangled Show – actually really funny, had a photo with Belle, walked through Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and then watched the Disney parade.

We met back up with the others and went on the Teacups and Dumbo rides. It then began to rain just as we decided to give Big Thunder Railroad one more go.  Miss Greer wasn’t interested so Mark, Master TJ and Miss Sophia went first by which time it was teeming with rain.  We decided we might as well use the fast passes up so Miss Sophia and I went next and got the front row so she was very happy.

We made a run for dinner at ESPN zone and waited out the rain by having a few drinks – seemed rude not to use the time efficiently 😉  It was then time for a final look around the Disney Downtown shops and we watched the fireworks.
